After Absa bank became independent from Barclays Group, they took advantage of the opportunity to rebrand and better represent their customer base. As part of a swift and expansive roll-out, the banking cards had to be rapidly redesigned. Freethinking consultants were brought on for six sprints to deliver a new continuum of retail and business banking cards, as well as implement a strong customer-centered design practice.

To help them keep the promise of a connected Africa, MTN requested a complete redesign of their self-service mobile app. This required a deep understanding of the needs of the users and delivering functional features that would be translated into meaningful experiences. Bright, illustrative interfaces make the app experience not only functional, but also delightful to use. Combined with analytics, the teams’ initiatives ensured features that work to continuously solve user problems in multiple African countries.
